右の人相書に該当する者の詮索の件について、村々で請け持ち、郷目付の者や番非人等に申し付け、見つけ次第捕らえて申し出るよう、かつ右のような者が入り込んでいない場合は、その旨を組ごとに書付を取りまとめて提出するよう仰せ付けられ、恐れ多く組内の村々に触れ回し詮索いたし候えども、右のような者は入り込んでいない旨の連判書付をもって申し出てきたため、奥書をいたし指し上げ奉り候。以上

Regarding the matter of investigating persons matching the above description, we were ordered that each village should take responsibility, instructing village inspectors (gō-metsuke), guard outcasts (ban-hinin), and others to capture and report any such persons as soon as they are spotted. Furthermore, if no such persons have entered the area, written reports should be compiled by group and submitted. We humbly circulated notices throughout the villages in our group and conducted investigations, but since reports with joint signatures stating that no such persons had entered were submitted, we respectfully add our endorsement and submit this report. The above.
