served as御書院番 (personal guard), and after His Lordship the Dainagon's death by seppuku,     he remained as a masterless samurai in Suruga. Through the recommendation     of Takaku Settsu-no-kami-sama, he was summoned to serve     our domain in Edo and entered service. One: In the 3rd month of Kanei 14th year (Year of the Ox), he was granted   a fief of 200 koku in Edo and summoned to service. One: In the 5th month of the same year, he went down to Mogami in Dewa Province. One: In the 1st month of Kanei 15th year (Year of the Tiger), he joined   Miyake Magobei's unit and served castle guard duty. One: In the 8th month of Kanei 17th year (Year of the Dragon), he went up to Edo   for guard duty service. One: In the 4th month of Kanei 20th year (Year of the Sheep), he was granted   an additional 100 koku while at Mogami.
