現代語訳
愿彰院様より下し置かれた。
一 元文元年（辰年）6月 藤五郎と改名したい旨を願い出て許可された。
一 宝暦2年（申年）6月 御馬の御稽古に精を出し、御馬の手入れ等も良く滞りなく取り計らい、このたび愿彰院様の御馬術の極意をも差し上げたため、御懇ろなお言葉をいただいた上で、御前において御帷子を下し置かれた。
一 同4年（戌年）2月 3ヶ年皆勤して仕えたため、御褒美として銀子1枚を下し置かれた。
一 同6年（子年）12月 御供御雇として相勤めたため、愿彰院様より御上下1具を下し置かれた。
一 同8年（寅年）10月 御馬方として精励して相勤めたため、愿彰院様より御馬乗袴を下し置かれた。
一 同年 宣明院様御近習番兼務を仰せ付けられた。

One: Genbun 1st year (Year of the Dragon), 6th month - Requested and was granted permission to change his name to Tōgorō.
One: Hōreki 2nd year (Year of the Monkey), 6th month - Applied himself diligently to equestrian practice, took good care of the horses without negligence, and this time even presented the secrets of Lord Genshōin's equestrian arts. For this he received kind words and was granted a court undergarment (katabira) in the lord's presence.
One: Same 4th year (Year of the Dog), 2nd month - For three years of perfect attendance in service, he was granted one piece of silver as a reward.
One: Same 6th year (Year of the Rat), 12th month - For serving as an attendant guard, he was granted one set of formal court dress (kamishimo) by Lord Genshōin.
One: Same 8th year (Year of the Tiger), 10th month - For his diligent service in the horse department, he was granted equestrian hakama by Lord Genshōin.
One: Same year - Was appointed to concurrent duty as a personal attendant to Lord Senmyōin.
