現代語訳

【右丁】
伊兵衛に下賜された。現在その家に現存しており、既に数仞（約12メートル）の高さに達していると言われている。

また、柊椿については、古くから白花山茶を珍重していた頃、山茶の中から一種の変わった葉を持つものが生じた。その形状は柊のようで、大きな鋸歯がある。そのため柊山茶と名付けられた。現在その品種は世上にしばしば見られるが、元々は彼の家から産出したものだと言われている。

ちなみに、この伊兵衛は『地錦抄』の著者である。そのため栽培技術に長けており、現在子孫に受け継がれてこの道を盛んにしている。

Regarding the hiiragi-tsubaki (holly-leaved camellia), in ancient times when white-flowered sasanqua was treasured, a variety with unusual leaves emerged from among the sasanqua. Its shape resembled that of holly, with large serrated edges. Therefore, it was named hiiragi-sasanqua. Currently, this variety can often be found in the world, and it is said to have originally been produced from his house.

Incidentally, this Ihē was the author of "Jikinshō" (a horticultural treatise). Therefore, he was skilled in cultivation techniques, and now his descendants have inherited this and are flourishing in this field.
