現代語訳
浮島の切り株に似ているのを面白いと見ているうちに、おぼろげであった葦毛島もだんだんと過ぎて、野比の竹山が見える。
世の中の栄枯盛衰を象徴する葦毛島を行き過ぎて、船がゆらゆらと漂っているうちに、我が世の竹山、松ともなく、松輪の崎も巡って、鎌倉の右大臣（源実朝）が「いたく木高き風の音かな」と詠まれた岬が近くなった。城ヶ島の威厳のある様子も見え、遊ヶ崎の勇ましい名があるのは「弓は袋に」という平和な御世の例えに引っ掛けて縁起が良い。

「みさき」という所へ参った道で、磯辺の松が古く茂っているのを見て詠んだ歌
「磯の松 いく久々にか なりぬらん いたく木高き 風の音かな」
英語訳
While finding it amusing that it resembles the stump of a floating island, the previously indistinct Ashika Island gradually passes by, and Mount Take of Nobi comes into view.
Having passed Ashika Island, which symbolizes the rise and fall of worldly fortunes, as the boat drifts gently, we see our world's Mount Take, and rounding Cape Matsowa with its pines, we draw near to the cape where the Right Minister of Kamakura (Minamoto no Sanetomo) composed the poem "How tall the trees have grown, what sounds the wind makes!" The imposing appearance of Jōgashima Island is also visible, and the brave name of Yugasaki is auspicious, playing on the peaceful saying "the bow is in its bag."
