破提宇子序
破提宇子（キリシタン）が宗旨とするところは、経典の名目・本尊・因位等のことについて説教する法理であるが、仏教徒でなければこれを聞くことができず、その宗旨を論破することもできない。神官でなければこれを知ることができず、その信徒を論駁することもできない。そのため邪説が日々起こり、無道が月ごとに盛んになって、もう長い年月が経っている。

Preface to Hadaius
What Hadaius (Christians) make their doctrine consists of teachings about the nomenclature of scriptures, principal objects of worship, causal stages, and other such matters. However, unless one is a Buddhist, one cannot hear these teachings and cannot refute their doctrine. Unless one is a Shinto priest, one cannot know these matters and cannot argue against their followers. Therefore, heretical teachings arise daily, and immorality flourishes monthly - this has continued for many long years.
