現代語訳
但し他国へ御使いに出かける家来を残し置く者の一類共、或いは気心の知れた者の一人を決めて頼んで御門を通すこと。その際は目付中へ報告すること。もっとも重病の者も同様のこととすること。
一、手代並びに渡り荒子等の件は従来通り、右の預かりの頭から御門札を出すこと。渡り荒子の使い等に差し向ける件は、火消し御用に当たらない際は従来通りに行うこと。
一、御番所にて札を改める者は申すまでもなく、その他の者どもも常々判形を見覚えて、贋札紛らわしい者がないように改めること。
一、御家老中の荻野孫右衛門・嶋田内蔵介、御奏者番中が御用にて夜中に他出する際は、許可なしに通すこと。私用にて他出する際は自分で許可を得て通すこと。
一、御小姓頭中が奏者番代りを勤められることに付き、右と同様とすること。

一、御成に付いて御屋敷御近所を御通行遊ばされる日は、御成の前に商人一人も通してはならない。

一、御屋敷御長屋の内へ他所から使いが参った場合は、まず相手方主人の名を承って書き付けておくこと。御長屋へは誰方へ参るかを書き付けること。右の使いが御屋敷の内に長く逗留した場合は、右の長屋へ聞きに参り、「先程返した」旨を申した場合は、その段を早々に目付中の長屋まで行って報告すること。もっとも長く逗留したとしても、右の長屋に伝えて在ると言う場合は、その通りにすること。
一、普段御屋敷へ商いに来ない通りがかりの商人一人も御門へ堅く入れてはならない。常に来る者で見知っている者は入れること。たとえ御屋敷へ数年商いに参る者の売り子・家来であっても、見知らない者であれば吟味を行うこと。

Memorandum
1. Regarding official visits, on days when processions pass through the vicinity of the estate, no merchants whatsoever shall be allowed through before the official visit.
However, those coming to the kitchen on official business are an exception, as are those with urgent business at the treasury or construction office who must attend, and these may be allowed through after confirmation.
1. After the procession has passed and thereafter, tell those entering through the gate to "finish early and return home today," and if they do not leave by seven o'clock in the evening, report to the inspector officials' quarters stating "this many people still remain at the estate."
In general, on such days, take care not to allow many merchants to enter.
1. When messengers from elsewhere come to the estate's long houses, first confirm and record the name of their master. Record to whom they are going in the long houses. If such messengers stay long within the estate, go inquire at the relevant long house, and if they say "we sent him back earlier," immediately go to the inspector officials' quarters to report this.
