一御門番人共上下出入随分念被入無札之者附落無之様手板に留疑敷者一切入申
　間敷候替りたる体之者に候はゝ早々目付中江可申達事
一御門番人札改之者不及申其外之者共常々判鑑見覚似せ札紛者無之様相改

一御客衆御通之節御先江立下々道をよけさせ無礼不仕様に可申付候尤御旗本
　中御家中之長屋へ御見廻之節先へ立案内仕下々無礼無之様可致事
一侍中御使は各別私用に暮六ツ以後罷出申さぬ筈自然無據急用有之罷出候
　節は奏者番中へ相達指図次第罷通申筈尤其節目付中ゟ御門断之上御門

御門所定

一、御門番人たちは上下の出入りに十分注意を払い、札のない者が紛れ込まないよう手板に留め、疑わしい者は一切入れてはならない。変わった様子の者がいれば、早急に目付中へ報告すること。

一、御門番人で札改めを行う者は言うまでもなく、その他の者たちも常日頃から判鑑を見覚えて、偽札や紛らわしい者がないよう改めること。

一、御客衆がお通りになる節は、御先に立って下々に道を避けさせ、無礼を働かないよう申し付けること。もっとも御旗本中が御家中の長屋へお見回りの節は、先に立って案内し、下々が無礼のないよう致すこと。

一、侍中の御使いは格別として、私用で暮れ六つ以後に出かけることはない筈である。自然と止むを得ない急用があって出かける節は、奏者番中へ相談して指図次第で通る筈である。もっともその節は目付中から御門に断りを入れた上で御門を通すこと。

一、御小姓中は御小姓目付の断りで通ることができる。前髪のない面々が御使者に出かけるのは格別である。ただし御貸馬が出ない御使者の体でない時は、目付の断りを受けて通ること。

1. Gate guards must pay careful attention to the comings and goings of all persons, high and low, ensuring that no one without proper identification slips through by recording them on the hand-board, and must absolutely not allow any suspicious persons to enter. If there are any persons of unusual appearance, this must be reported immediately to the inspectors.

1. Gate guards who conduct identification checks, needless to say, and all other personnel as well, must regularly familiarize themselves with official seals and ensure proper inspection so that no counterfeit passes or suspicious persons get through.

1. When honored guests pass through, guards must go ahead and have the lower-ranking people clear the way, ensuring no discourtesy is committed. Particularly when hatamoto are making inspection rounds to the retainers' quarters, guards must go ahead to guide them and ensure no discourtesy from the lower ranks.

1. Apart from official messengers of the samurai class, private outings after the evening sixth hour are not permitted. Should there naturally be unavoidable urgent business requiring departure, this must be reported to the master of ceremonies and passage allowed according to their instructions. In such cases, the inspectors must notify the gate before allowing passage through the gate.

1. Pages may pass through with permission from the page inspector. It is exceptional for those without forelocks to go out as messengers. However, when not going out as official messengers without borrowed horses being provided, they must receive permission from an inspector to pass through.
