一御屋鋪内へ借馬入候節御目付ゟ断在之候はゝ馬数口附相改可為致出入事
一御家中召仕之男女兼て見知罷在出替り之節は猶又出入可致吟味事
一御門内外共に男女逗留月越不相成候間月末に至り逗留之者其儘断無之分令
吟味其段御目付へ相達可申事
一御上屋鋪ゟ被為入御供侍之節は御供之面々末々まて御門外へ罷出候義一切不相成

一御屋敷御近火之節駆付候御出入町人は格別其余提札無之者堅入不申事
一御門橋之上見廻り無作法無之様可致候御長屋石垣下之土無作ととらせ申

一女中無之方へ外ゟ女中堅御門入不申事
一御出入之町人家来之分は罷越候節御門にて木札相渡帰候時分相改可申候
無札商人御屋敷ゟ呼寄申者共には右之通木札相渡帰候節相改可申事
但諸商人之儀は暮六ツ時切に出入為仕且又御用相達候者之儀は其品承届

現代語訳
手形又は送り人を指し添えること。兼ねてから御屋敷へ立ち入り見知っている町人はその必要はなく、
吟味の上で通すこと。
一、御作事所へ入る諸商人日用の儀は、提札印形に引き合わせて通すこと。
一、公儀御餌指は御屋敷へ入れない筈であるから、御門番人共は兼ねてからそのことを心得ているべきこと。
一、御門所での女中駕籠乗りの儀について、御用人格以上は御門所へ自分の断りで済むこと。それ以下の義は
すべて御目付から断りを受けて出入り共に通すこと。御門外から入る女中駕籠乗りの儀も右同断。
もっとも男子の儀は一切認められないこと。
一、御屋敷内へ借馬を入れる節、御目付から断りがあれば、馬数・口付を改めて出入りさせること。
一、御家中召し使いの男女で兼ねてから見知っており、出替わりの節はなおまた出入りを吟味すること。
一、御門内外共に男女の逗留は月を越してはならないから、月末に至り逗留の者でそのまま断りのない分は
吟味させ、その段を御目付へ相達すること。
一、御上屋敷から入らせられる御供侍の節は、御供の面々末々まで御門外へ出ることは一切認められないこと。
一、御屋敷御近火の節に駆け付ける御出入り町人は格別、その余の提札のない者は堅く入れないこと。
一、御門橋の上の見回りは無作法のないようにすること。御長屋石垣下の土を無作法に取らせてはならないこと。
一、女中のいない方へ外から女中を堅く御門に入れないこと。
一、御出入りの町人家来の分は、来た節に御門で木札を相渡し、帰る時分に改めること。
無札商人で御屋敷から呼び寄せた者共には右の通り木札を相渡し、帰る節に改めること。
但し諸商人の儀は暮六ツ時切りに出入りし、且つまた御用を相達する者の儀はその品を承り届け、
六ツ時を過ぎても出入りさせること。
一、誰が申し聞かせても、商人御門留めの儀は認められない。御目付からの指図次第で申し付けること。
一、薬缶直し・鍋鋳掛け・古金買い・紙屑買い・諸勧進・女の理売り・雪踏直しは
御門へ入れないこと。
一、御門外から頼まれる諸勧進帳の世話を集める筋の儀は、内外堅く御法度のこと。
一、本切れ・縁付き畳の儀、鍋釜の類は御作事より送りがあること。
一、植木・花鳥・猫の類は御裏役から断りがあること。

passes or escort persons shall be assigned. Townspeople who have previously entered the residence and are known need not follow this procedure, but shall pass after examination.
1. Various merchants and daily workers entering the construction office shall pass after verification against the posted notice seals.
1. Official falconers shall not enter the residence, so the gate guards should be aware of this in advance.
1. Regarding palanquin-riding female attendants at the gate: those of steward rank and above may settle matters with their own notification to the gate. For those below this rank, all entry and exit shall be permitted only with approval from the inspector. The same applies to palanquin-riding female attendants entering from outside the gate. However, male attendants are absolutely not permitted.
1. When bringing borrowed horses into the residence, if there is approval from the inspector, examine the number of horses and handlers for entry and exit.
1. For male and female servants of the retainer households who are previously known, when they are replaced, their entry and exit shall still be examined.
1. Lodging of men and women both inside and outside the gate shall not exceed one month. At month's end, those staying without proper notification shall be examined, and this matter shall be reported to the inspector.
1. When attending retainers enter from the upper residence, none of the attendants, down to the lowest ranks, may go outside the gate.
1. During fires near the residence, regular merchant visitors may rush to help, but all others without identification passes are strictly forbidden entry.
1. Patrols on the gate bridge shall be conducted without impropriety. Soil from beneath the long house stone walls shall not be taken improperly.
1. Women shall strictly not be admitted through the gate to quarters where there are no female attendants.
1. For servants of visiting townspeople, wooden passes shall be issued at the gate when they arrive and checked when they return. For merchants without passes who are summoned from the residence, wooden passes shall be issued as above and checked when they depart.
However, various merchants shall enter and exit only until evening 6 o'clock, and those conveying official business shall have their business acknowledged and received,
and may enter and exit even after 6 o'clock.
1. Regardless of who requests it, merchants may not be barred from the gate. Orders shall be given according to instructions from the inspector.
1. Kettle repairers, pot tinkers, old metal buyers, paper scrap buyers, various solicitors, female peddlers, and snow shoe repairers shall not enter the gate.
1. Arranging solicitation from outside the gate for various donation books is strictly forbidden both inside and outside.
1. For fabric remnants, edged tatami mats, and items like pots and kettles, there shall be delivery from the construction office.
1. For plants, flowers, birds, cats and such, there shall be approval from the rear service office.
