條々
一辻番之儀昼夜無懈怠可相勤雖為夜中前之戸を明立不寝番をいたし請取之
場所切々見廻之若狼藉者又は手負たる輩惣て不審成もの於来は出
向留置之早速支配之役人江申届其屋敷〳〵御目付衆江申達可得指図候仮【假】
廻り場にて無之候共近所之者早速罷出取はからひ其上にて廻場之番人へ可
相渡事
一喧嘩辻斬等在之節も右同前可相心得事
一辻番人役之儀壱万石ゟ壱万九千石迄高にて相勤候番人昼三人夜五人に可相勤事
附壱万石以上組合無之辻番相勤候面々は請負之者に渡番仕間敷候事
一弐万石ゟ以上之高にて相勤候番人昼四人夜六人にて可相勤事
附雖為組合相定人数之通可相勤事
一奉行人御目付衆夜廻之面々申渡御法度之趣不可違背事

御上屋敷辻番所条目
条々
一、辻番の儀、昼夜怠りなく相勤めるべし。夜中といえども前の戸を開け立て、寝ずの番をいたし、請け取りの場所を切々見回ること。もし狼藉者または手負いたる輩、総じて不審なる者が来た場合は、出向いて留め置き、早速支配の役人へ申し届け、その屋敷々々の御目付衆へ申し達して指図を得るべし。仮に回り場でなくとも、近所の者は早速出向いて取り計らい、その上で回り場の番人へ相渡すこと。
一、喧嘩・辻斬りなどがある節も右同前に心得るべきこと。
一、辻番人役の儀、一万石より一万九千石まで高にて相勤める候番人は、昼三人夜五人にて相勤めること。
附：一万石以上組合なき辻番相勤める面々は、請負の者に渡番仕るまじきこと。
一、二万石より以上の高にて相勤める候番人は、昼四人夜六人にて相勤めること。
附：組合といえども相定めの人数の通り相勤めること。
一、奉行人・御目付衆夜回りの面々申し渡しの御法度の趣、違背すべからざること。
附：雑説を先々へ申し触れるべからざること。

Regulations for Guard Posts at Intersections of the Upper Residences

1. Regarding intersection guard duty: This shall be performed diligently day and night without negligence. Even during the night, the front doors shall be kept open and sleepless watch maintained, with continuous patrol of the designated areas. Should any troublemakers, wounded persons, or generally suspicious individuals appear, guards shall go out to detain them, immediately report to the supervising officials, and notify the inspectors (metsuke) of each respective residence to receive instructions. Even if it is not a designated patrol area, nearby guards shall immediately respond and handle the situation, then transfer custody to the guards of the patrol area.
1. In case of fights, street attacks, and similar incidents, the same procedures as above shall be followed.
1. Regarding intersection guard personnel: For those serving guard duty with stipends from 10,000 to 19,000 koku, three guards during the day and five at night shall serve.
Note: Those with stipends of 10,000 koku or more who serve intersection guard duty without group partnerships shall not transfer their guard shifts to contractors.
1. For those serving guard duty with stipends of 20,000 koku or more, four guards during the day and six at night shall serve.
Note: Even in group partnerships, the predetermined number of personnel shall serve.
1. The prohibitions issued by magistrates and night patrol inspectors shall not be violated.
Note: Idle gossip shall not be spread to other locations.
