御家中定府詰越の面々宗旨御改めの事

去る何年、切支丹宗門並びに悲田宗御改め以後、抱え申している自分の召使いの男女の宗旨を改め、寺々より判形を取り、手前に指し置いている。疑わしい者は御座なく、手形を仕り差し上げ申す。もし不審な者が御座候わば、品々申し上げるべく候。後日のため、よって件の如し。

Regarding Religious Sect Investigation of Retainers on Permanent Duty in Edo

Since the investigation of the Christian sect and Hita sect in [year], I have investigated the religious sects of the male and female servants in my employ, obtained seal certificates from their temples, and keep them on hand. There are no suspicious persons, so I submit this certificate. If there should be any suspicious persons, I shall report the details. For future reference, respectfully submitted as above.
