人ゟ御規式帳被相渡右御帳を以末々迄御次にて繰出す御膳番ゟ自分頂戴之
一御家老中 御前へ被出候節御用人先立
但御書院之方へ被罷出候節御目付先立致候事
御守殿へは御徒目付先立致候事惣て御家老中部屋ゟ表之方へは
御対面所之方へも何方へも下之方へは御徒目付先立也
一不時に御一門様御見廻御通り被成候節御家老中被罷出候節尤御用人ゟ申達る事先立

一年始五節句には御上屋敷霊岸嶋共に侍中不残御屋形へ罷出御目見申上事尤
御目見相済候事共之分無息之分も罷出候事式日には御上屋敷計罷出る霊岸嶋

右御通掛 御目見席御祐筆は長囲炉裏之間へ罷出る大御番御留守居番
新番は表御広間へ罷出候事
一於御屋形正五九月大般若経御祈祷有之節御家老中を始服紗麻上下
着相詰候事尤前晩ゟ御屋形忌服御改之事也
一老女中を以御奉文御拝領物有之節御役人恐悦申上候義詰合は麻上下に不及
詰合装束にて申上る御小屋ゟ罷出候面々は麻上下着用可罷出候事《割書：明和六丑年｜五月四日相定る》

一若殿様霊岸嶋ゟ被為入候節御在国年には御上屋敷当番無之に付御目付
詰合之内御先立相勤候事詰合に無之節は御先立に不罷出

現代語訳
人より御規式帳を渡され、右の御帳をもって末々まで御次にて繰り出す。御膳番より自分で頂戴する。
一、御家老中が御前へ出られる節は御用人が先立つ。
ただし御書院の方へ出向かれる節は御目付が先立つこと。
御守殿へは御徒目付が先立つこと。総じて御家老中が部屋より表の方へは、
御対面所の方へも何方へも下の方へは御徒目付が先立つ。
一、不時に御一門様が御見舞いで御通りになられる節、御家老中が出向かれる節はもっとも御用人より申し達すること。先立ちは御目付が行うこと。ただし御次席までである。
一、年始・五節句には御上屋敷・霊岸島ともに侍中残らず御屋形へ出向き御目見えを申し上げること。もっとも御目見えが済んでいる者ども・無息の分も出向くこと。式日には御上屋敷のみ出向く。霊岸島には出向かない。子どもの儀は御上屋敷ともに月次・式日には出向かないこと。
右の通り掛け、御目見え席では御祐筆は長囲炉裏の間へ出向く。大御番・御留守居番・新番は表御広間へ出向くこと。
一、御屋形において正・五・九月の大般若経御祈祷がある節は、御家老中をはじめ服紗麻上下を着て詰めること。もっとも前晩より御屋形では忌み服を改めること。
一、老女中を通して御奉文・御拝領物がある節、御役人が恐悦を申し上げる儀では、詰め合わせは麻上下に及ばず、詰め合わせ装束にて申し上げる。御小屋より出向く面々は麻上下着用で出向くべきこと。（明和六丑年五月四日に相定める）
一、五節句・八朔の御登城の節、御役人ども出向き御目見えし、勝手次第に退出し、已後の詰め合わせに及ばない旨を仰せ出された段、明和六丑年九月九日に御用人松平要人が申し聞かせる。
一、若殿様が霊岸島より入られる節、御在国年には御上屋敷当番が無いにつき、御目付詰め合わせの内で御先立ちを相勤めること。詰め合わせに無い節は御先立ちに出向かない。
一、御門前通御につき、
若殿様が入られ小書院へ御詰めになられる節は、御目付が御先立ちを相勤めること。総じて右に準ずべきこと。
一、正月、御前様が御年始のため初めて御出になられる節、御家老中をはじめ御用人・御役人は服紗麻上下を着用する。もっとも七日より後は右の格である。年始初めて御出の節は西御門預かりの御物頭が御出の節、御門所へ出向く。夕方七時過ぎに御帰殿の場合は、御家老中をはじめ御用人・小役人・門預かりの面々も出向かないこと。
英語訳
The ceremonial handbook is handed down by officials, and using this handbook, matters are carried out in the antechamber down to the lowest levels. Each person receives it directly from the meal attendants.
1. When senior councilors appear before the lord, chamberlains precede them.
However, when going to the formal reception hall, inspectors precede them.
When going to the guardian hall, foot inspectors precede them. In general, when senior councilors go from their rooms to the front areas, or to the audience hall, or anywhere to the lower areas, foot inspectors precede them.
2. When domain relatives unexpectedly visit for condolence calls, when senior councilors go out, chamberlains must relay the message. Inspectors serve as escorts, but only up to the antechamber.
3. For New Year and the five seasonal festivals, all retainers from both the upper mansion and Reiganjima must go to the mansion and pay their respects. Those who have already had audiences and those without stipends must also attend. On ceremonial days, only those at the upper mansion attend; they do not go to Reiganjima. Regarding children, they do not attend monthly or ceremonial days at either the upper mansion or elsewhere.
As described above, for audience seating, secretaries go to the long hearth room. Senior guards, caretaker guards, and new guards go to the front great hall.
4. When Great Prajñāpāramitā Sutra prayers are held at the mansion in the 1st, 5th, and 9th months, senior councilors and others wear fukusa hemp kamishimo while on duty. From the previous evening, mourning clothes are changed at the mansion.
5. When there are official letters or bestowed items through senior ladies-in-waiting, when officials express gratitude, those on duty need not wear hemp kamishimo but may wear duty attire. Those coming from the small quarters should wear hemp kamishimo. (Established on the 4th day of the 5th month of Meiwa 6, year of the Ox)
6. On the five seasonal festivals and Hassaku when going to Edo Castle, officials attend and pay respects, then withdraw at their discretion, and need not remain on duty afterward, as announced on the 9th day of the 9th month of Meiwa 6, year of the Ox, by chamberlain Matsudaira Kaname.
7. When the young lord enters from Reiganjima, in years when he resides in the domain there are no upper mansion duty assignments, so inspectors on duty serve as escorts. When not on duty, they do not serve as escorts.
8. Regarding passage before the gate:
When the young lord enters and takes up residence in the small reception hall, inspectors serve as escorts. All such matters should follow this precedent.
9. In the New Year, when the lord's consort first goes out for New Year greetings, senior councilors, chamberlains, and officials wear fukusa hemp kamishimo. From the 7th day onward, this is the standard format. When first going out for New Year visits, the military commander in charge of the west gate attends, and when he appears, they go to the gate office. When returning to the mansion after 7 PM in the evening, senior councilors, chamberlains, minor officials, and those in charge of gates do not attend.
