一、御広敷へは御奉行が出向くこと。御屋敷奉行も見分等で出向くこと。御目付は決して出向かないこと。御広敷に御用がないためで、出向かないことに意味があること。
一、御屋敷の稲荷初午の日、前晩・当日共に子供が太鼓を打つこと。霊岸島御屋敷でも稲荷初午、神明・八幡宮祭礼の際に太鼓を打つこと。御家中の参詣は御免である。もっとも八幡口から往来すべきこと。稲荷へは北木戸から入り、見回りとして御目付組の者を差し越すこと。
一、定府侍中をはじめ末々まで、弟或いは次男等を他所の家中や親類の方へ逗留に差し越したい旨、口上書をもって番頭或いは支配頭取次で相願えば、願いの通り申し付けられること。もっとも先例がある。
但し、品によっても申すべきこと。末々軽い者の息子などを他家中へ奉公に差し越す義についても先例がある。もっともそれぞれへ相願うべきこと。

一、両御屋敷に在住している面々の方へ、他家中の奉公人が出向き、親類であっても宿とすることはならないこと。もっとも病用などでやむを得ない事情がある際は、支配頭或いは同役をもって口上書で相願い、御指図次第のこと。
但し先例があること。婦人・隠居・小児等の件についてはなおさら先例があること。
一、他家中に勤めている親類が病気になった際、侍中の方へ引き取り養生させたいとの願いについて先例がある。
阿部与五左衛門の甥で阿部山城守殿の家中使番役の者が病気の処、看病する者がいないため、与五左衛門が願い出て、願いの通り申し付けられたこと。記録がある。

...are under supervision. Those with long spears (go-naganata) are under the supervision of magistrates (go-bugyo). For sailors and cedar-form personnel in the advance units, all duty assignments shall be ordered by the inspector.
1. Magistrates shall visit the women's quarters (go-hiroshiki). Estate magistrates shall also visit for inspections and such. Inspectors shall absolutely not visit. This is because there are no duties for them in the women's quarters, and there is meaning in their not visiting.
1. At the estate Inari shrine on the day of the first horse (hatsu-uma), children shall beat drums both the evening before and on the day itself. At Reiganjima estate as well, drums shall be beaten during Inari first horse, Shinmei, and Hachiman shrine festivals. Domain members are permitted to worship. Most importantly, they shall come and go through the Hachiman entrance. For Inari, they shall enter through the north gate, and inspector group members shall be sent as patrols.
1. From permanent Edo residents (jofu-samurai) to the lowest ranks, when wishing to send younger brothers or second sons to stay with other domain retainers or relatives, if a petition is made through written report via group heads or supervising heads, it shall be granted as requested. There are established precedents.
However, this depends on the circumstances. There are also precedents for sending sons of lower-ranking light retainers to serve in other domains. Applications must be made to the respective authorities.
1. Adoption from other domains
1. Servants from other domains may not visit and lodge with relatives among those residing at both estates, even if they are relatives. However, when there are unavoidable circumstances such as illness, a written petition may be made through supervising heads or peers, subject to instructions.
There are established precedents for this. There are even more precedents regarding matters of women, retirees, children, etc.
1. There is precedent for petitions to bring relatives serving in other domains back for medical care when they fall ill.
Abe Yogozaemon's nephew, who served as a messenger in the retinue of Lord Abe Yamashiro-no-kami, fell ill with no one to care for him, so Yogozaemon petitioned and it was granted as requested. There are records of this.
