一御国ゟ来候出家并御門外ゟ其類一宿願申上候事先例有之
一女之泊り承置候て相済候事勿論定府にても女無之処へは不相成候事
一閉門遠慮等被 仰付候節一類共通路相願被 仰付候上江戸表にては繁々勤之者独りにて致
通路候ても不参届に付又外に通路人相願両人にて致通路候義も毎度有之候縁者親類
無之者は他人にても致通路候事
一霊岸嶋御屋敷之者閉門遠慮被 仰付候節通路人達之儀罷越候度々に霊岸嶋
御目付へ断候筈尤願之通通路被 仰付候節初ては御上屋敷御目付江断又御免之節御上

現代語訳
一、御家中のまたもの（家臣）が他所の親類方へ用事があって出向く件について願い申し上げれば、願いの通り申し付けられること。先例がある。萩原金兵衛の家来、横田作太夫の家来を派遣した例がある。
一、御扶持人で他所の親類方へ用事があり一泊出向きたい旨の願いの通り申し付けられた例がある。御□□□番の嶋野佐次兵衛という者の兄が武州二俣川の浄性院という寺に住職として在住していたため、明和五年（1768年）十一月十五日に出向き、翌十六日に帰った。右の浄性院は在所の金川駅の後ろにあるとのこと。
一、定府侍中で患部があり、相州などへ湯治の願いの通り申し付けられた例がある。
一、御家中へ御門外の療治人を呼び、二三日逗留させたい旨、宝暦六年（1756年）四月に鈴木十左衛門が相願いしたところ、願いの通り申し付けられた例がある。
一、御国から来た出家並びに御門外からその類が一宿を願い申し上げることについて先例がある。
一、女性の泊りについては承知しておいて済ませること。もちろん定府でも女性がいない所へは認められないこと。
一、閉門・遠慮等を申し付けられた際、一族共が通路を相願いし申し付けられた上で、江戸表では頻繁に勤務する者が独りで通路を行っても届かないため、また別に通路人を相願いし、両人で通路を行うこともしばしばある。縁者・親類がない者は他人でも通路を行うこと。
一、霊岸島御屋敷の者が閉門・遠慮を申し付けられた際、通路人達の件で出向く度々に、霊岸島御目付へ断る筈。もっとも願いの通り通路を申し付けられた際、初めは御上屋敷御目付へ断り、また御免の際も御上屋敷御目付へ出向き、通路中に変わったことがない段を相達する筈。
一、霊岸島へ詰める御先物頭が仮目付を申し付けられた際、誓紙の判は元御目付が見届ける。
但し長囲炉裏の間で調える。すべて物頭格の面々でも仮役の分は御家老中前の誓紙はないこと。
一、役儀の誓紙で御家老中前でない分は、長囲炉裏の間で申し付けられること。何でも判は元御目付が見届けること。役儀の品によって御奉行が立ち合う筈。御近習役の件は御用人の立ち合いがあること。

1. There is an example of a stipend recipient (go-fuchi-nin) being granted permission as requested to stay one night with relatives elsewhere on business. The elder brother of a person named Shimano Sajibei of the御□□□ guard served as head priest at a temple called Joseiin in Futamatagawa, Bushu Province, so he departed on the 15th day of the 11th month of Meiwa 5 (1768) and returned on the 16th. The aforementioned Joseiin temple was located behind Kanagawa station.
1. There are examples of permanent Edo residents (jofu-samurai) with ailments being granted permission as requested to take hot spring cures in Soshu Province and elsewhere.
