さて、もろこし（中国）の大王が通人を呼びたいとの願いで、大通人千人ばかりが来日することになった。なんと世の唐人どもが桟敷をかけて、通人を見に出る人が非常に多く、布政を逆さまにして「世当」という幟を持つ。

Now, with the great king of Morokoshi (China) wishing to summon the connoisseurs, about a thousand great connoisseurs were to come to Japan. What a sight - the Chinese people set up viewing stands, and the number of people coming out to see the connoisseurs was tremendous. They turned their banners upside down and carried flags reading "Seitō" (World-Appropriate).
