家に相成候村々も有之前代未聞之変事之趣追々届
出候に付陣家許申村之儀は損家有之候迄にて
陣屋共別条無之候委細之義は追て可申上候以上

一当月廿四日昼夜快晴にて至極穏に御座候処同夜
四ツ頃より大地震にて信濃中条村私陣屋構煉塀

下家廻り震倒厳重に震動致し暫相立漸々
相止候処夫より少々宛不絶震動いたし陣屋より北
之方之当り雷明之如き響有之夜明け候迄は
凡八拾度震動致し翌朝少々静に相成候得共今以
震動相止不申候支配所水内郡村々潰家怪我人等も
有之候由御座候得共未た出訴不申候追々風聞承り候処
同国川中島辺は善光寺夫より南え当り山中と唱候
一郷辺重々地震相見川中島辺は民家一村不残
又は過半震倒其上出火にて残らす焼失いたし候
村々も有之候一村三四百人位より弐三百人程も即死

from around the fourth hour [10 PM], due to a great earthquake, at my administrative compound in Nakajō village in Shinano, the brick walls

collapsed in various places. In addition, among the farmhouses in villages near the administrative headquarters, those of weaker construction,
the lower houses and surroundings collapsed. The shaking was severe, continuing for a while, then gradually
stopped, but from then on there were continuous minor tremors. From the direction north
of the administrative office, there were sounds like thunder. Until dawn,
