黄花ヲ者也是草の尾也一物二種トメ
載之乎大和本草白屈菜（クサノワウ）ト出セリ

同書の湿草の部に
白屈菜（ハククツサイ）を出している
農政全書では「茎葉は青地に白色、
茎に毛があり刺がやや頭部で分枝して開く」と言い、四片の
黄花を持つ者である。これが草の尾である。一物を二種として
載せているのか。大和本草では白屈菜（クサノオウ）として出している。

I say:
In the same book's wetland plants section,
Hakukkusai is listed
In Nōsei Zensho it states "stems and leaves are blue-green with white color,
stems have hair and thorns that branch and spread somewhat at the head," referring to those with four-petaled
yellow flowers. This is kusano'o. Are they listing one plant as two species?
Yamato Honzō lists it as Hakukkusai (Kusano'ō).
