同書の湿草の部に
白屈菜（ハククツサイ）を載せている。
農政全書には「茎と葉は青地に白色、
茎に毛刺があり、梢の頭で枝分かれして咲く」と言う。四枚の
黄花をつけるものがこれであり、草の尾（クサノオ）と同じものである。一つの植物を二種として
載せているのだろうか。大和本草では白屈菜（クサノオウ）として載せている。

In the same book's section on wetland plants,
Hakukkusai (Bai Qu Cai, Greater Celandine) is also listed.
The Nōsei Zensho (Agricultural Administration Compendium) states: "The stem and leaves are green with white coloration; the stems have hairy thorns, and branches divide at the top of the shoots, opening flowers." These are the four-petaled yellow flowers — this is the same plant as Kusano-o. Could it be that one plant has been listed as two separate species? In Yamato Honzō, it is listed under the name Hakukkusai (Kusanō).
