御返書今日被相渡之

出御諸御礼有之候之間可被心易候将又其国之

過料を科すものである。よって命令は以下の通りである。

一 七月八日暑中 御機嫌伺いの御使者を差し出したところ、右の
御返書が今日相渡された。
御書状を拝見いたしました。
公方様におかれては御機嫌よくいらっしゃることと、めでたく
存じます。甚だしい暑さの折につき、なおいっそう御様子を
伺うために使者を差し越されました。いよいよ御平安で、七夕には御表で
諸々の御礼がございましたので、御安心ください。また、その国の

そうめん並びに御肴を献上されました。右の趣旨を披露したところ、
一段の御満足でした。恐れ謹んで申し上げます。

1. 8th day of 7th month, mid-summer: A messenger was sent to inquire about your well-being, and the
following reply letter was delivered today:
We have respectfully read your letter.
We are pleased to know that the Shogun is in good health,
which is most auspicious. Given the extreme heat of the season, you have
sent a messenger to inquire further about his condition. He continues in good health, and on Tanabata there were
various ceremonies of gratitude at the palace, so you may be at ease. Also, from that domain

somen noodles and delicacies were offered. When this matter was reported,
there was great satisfaction. We respectfully and humbly state this.
