公方様がせき込みで去る十五日に表御殿への出御がなかったため、鷹場より
使者を通じてご機嫌をお伺いする書状を差し出したところ、右の返書が今日
お渡しいただいた

お手紙を拝見いたしました。
公方様が少々せき込みのため去る十五日は
養生のため表御殿への出御をなされなかった趣
が伝わり、ご様子をお聞きしたく使者を
差し越されました。支障はなく、早速ご快癒で
お食事などもよくお召し上がりになっておりますので、ご安心ください。お気遣い
いただいた段は上聞に達するでしょう。詳細は使者が
説明いたします。恐々謹言

The Shogun had a cough and did not appear at the main palace on the 15th, so from the falconry grounds
a letter inquiring about his health was submitted through a messenger, and today
the reply letter was delivered.

for recuperation did not appear at the main palace,
this was communicated, and wishing to hear about his condition, you sent
a messenger. There is no problem, he has quickly recovered
and is eating his meals well, so please be at ease. Your thoughtful
concern will reach the Shogun's attention. The details will be
