但兵部大輔様御在府之時者御登 城前御越有之候得共以後定例

一 正月元日朝 御屋形の御座之間において年始の御規式が行われた
兵部大輔様がお越しになり、御太刀目録をご持参され、同所において御対面の三献の
御祝いがあった
ただし兵部大輔様が江戸にいらっしゃる時は、登城前にお越しになることがあったが、以後は定例と
なったため記載しない
一 同日 年始の祝儀として登城され、例の通り御太刀馬代を御献上し、
呉服を拝領された

1. January 1st morning: New Year ceremonies were held in the formal audience chamber of the residence
Hyobu-no-taifu-sama came over, bringing a ceremonial sword catalog, and there was a formal meeting with triple sake cup
celebrations at the same location
However, when Hyobu-no-taifu-sama was in Edo, he would come before going to the castle, but since this became regular practice
thereafter, it is not recorded
1. Same day: For New Year congratulations, [the lord] went to the castle and, as usual, presented ceremonial swords and money in place of horses,
and received silk garments as gifts
