口上の覚
殉死は古来より不義で無益なことであると戒め
置いているとはいえ、お達しがなかった故に近年追腹する者が
多数いる。今後そのような考えを持つ者には
常々その主人から殉死をしないよう堅く申し合わせなければならない。もし
今後殉死する者がいれば、亡き主人の不覚悟として越度となり、跡目の

一 5月25日 上使として御老中阿部豊後守《割書：忠秋》殿を以て国許への御暇が
仰せ出され、例の通り白銀千枚、御袷百着を拝領した《割書：上使の取扱いは例の如し》。この御礼のため
豊後守殿へ御勤めし、残る御老中へは御使者を差し出した
一 同月26日《割書：5時》 登城し御暇の御礼を仰せ上げ、例の通り御馬を拝領した
そして連れて来た御家老の御目見えが仰せ付けられ済んで下城した。その後
御老中への御廻勤を行った

Junshi (following one's lord in death) has been admonished since ancient times
as unrighteous and useless, but because no official proclamation was issued, in recent years many have committed
追腹 (seppuku following a lord's death). Henceforth, for those who may harbor such intentions,
their masters must constantly and firmly agree that they should not commit junshi. If
anyone does so in the future, it will be considered a transgression due to the deceased lord's lack of foresight, and the heir's
