一 正月七日於 御本丸御広間諸町人年始之御礼被為 請之
但諸町人御縁頬ニ而御礼申上之
一 同月八日於 御本丸御書院華蔵寺法泉寺龍花院
超勝寺誠照寺年始之御礼被為 請之畢而惣寺社之
御礼被為 請之
但右年始御礼御式此年初而御記録ニ相知候ニ付此ニ記之以後

御留守中ハ明六ツニ開暮六ツニ閉可申事
一 御番帳判形之事晩ハ六ツ半時朝ハ六ツ時小印形を
取可申無断して遅参候輩可為不参事

照護寺の御礼をお受けになった。
一 正月七日に本丸御広間において、諸町人の年始の御礼をお受けになった。
但し諸町人は御縁頬において御礼を申し上げた。
一 同月八日に本丸御書院において、華蔵寺・法泉寺・龍花院・
超勝寺・誠照寺の年始の御礼をお受けになった。その後、惣寺社の
御礼をお受けになった。
但し右の年始御礼の御式は、この年初めて御記録に相見えるので、ここに記す。以後は
定例であるため記さない。
一 同月二十四日に本丸において、去る二十日から今日まで賢聖院・大長院・松玄院へ

恒例の御祈祷を仰せ付けられ、右御祈祷中に賢聖院以下年始の
御礼をお受けになった。
但し右の御祈祷の儀は、以後定例であるため記さない。
一 二月（日は詳らかでない）御門所の開閉並びに御番の儀について、番改に左の通り仰せ出された。
一 御城中所々の御門は朝は六ツ時に開き、晩は御夜詰次第に
閉じ申すべきである。御用がある節は承り届け、その趣旨を改めてこれを通すべきである。
御留守中は明六ツに開き暮六ツに閉じ申すこと。
一 御番帳の判形の事：晩は六ツ半時、朝は六ツ時に小印形を
取り申すべきである。無断して遅参候輩は不参とすべきこと。

1. On the 7th day of the 1st month, New Year's respects were received from various townspeople in the great hall of the main castle keep.
Note: The various townspeople offered their respects at the御縁頬 (outer veranda).
1. On the 8th day of the same month, New Year's respects were received from Kezōji, Hōsenji, Ryūkain, Chōshōji, and Seishōji temples in the study of the main castle keep. Subsequently, respects were received from all temples and shrines.
Note: Since the ceremony for these New Year's respects appears in the official records for the first time this year, it is recorded here. Hereafter, as it becomes customary, it will not be recorded.
1. On the 24th day of the same month, at the main castle keep, customary prayers were ordered from the 20th until today at Kenshōin, Daichōin, and Shōgenin.

1. In the 2nd month (the exact day is unclear), the following was announced to the guard rotation regarding the opening and closing of castle gates and guard duties:
1. All gates throughout the castle shall be opened at the hour of 6 (dawn) in the morning and closed in the evening according to the night watch schedule. When there is official business, it shall be reported and acknowledged, and passage shall be permitted after proper inspection. During the lord's absence, gates shall be opened at dawn (6 o'clock) and closed at dusk (6 o'clock).
1. Regarding the seal stamps on guard duty logs: Small seal stamps shall be affixed at 6:30 in the evening and at 6 o'clock in the morning. Those who arrive late without permission shall be recorded as absent.
