一 同日御家老岡部左膳起平願之上御役御免隠居被 仰付候ニ

左之通 御思召之趣書付を以月番御家老左膳宅江罷越申度之
其方儀永々御役相勤只今被及老年候迄無懈怠
被相勤候段大儀ニ被 思召候未老衰之体も無之
候得者其儘被候様ニ被遊度候得共極老之儀ニも
候間達者ニも有之内被致休息候ハ々保養にも可成
事ニ被 思召候付御役御免被成隠居被仰付候家督
之儀承知千五百石倅右京江無相違被 仰付候間緩々

一 同日、御家老岡部左膳起平が願い出により御役御免・隠居を仰せ付けられたことにつき、左の通り御思召の趣を書付をもって月番御家老左膳宅へ参上したいとのこと。
「そなたは長年御役を勤め、今老年に及ぶまで怠りなく勤めた段、大変ありがたく思し召している。まだ老衰の様子もないので、そのまま続けていただきたく思うが、大変な高齢でもあるので、達者なうちに休息すれば保養にもなることと思し召し、御役御免とし隠居を仰せ付ける。家督の件は承知の通り千五百石を倅右京へ相違なく仰せ付けるので、ゆっくりと休息されたい。そなたは御部屋住の節から馴染みのこともあり、御内分にて十人扶持方を下し置く。」
一 七月四日、御医師望月三英老をもって御内証より朝鮮人参の実を箱に百箱入りで御拝領され、三英老御宅へ御裏役埴原八蔵清が参上し受け取った。
一 同日、朝鮮人送馬を城州淀まで滞りなく送った旨申し来たことにつき、御用掛り酒井雅楽頭忠恕殿へ御留守居津田九右衛門盛恕が左の通り届書を持参し差し出した。
「朝鮮人参御用につき先達て仰せ付け置かれた鞍置馬を、先月二十一日遠州新居宿より差し出し、道中滞りなく相勤め、同二十八日山州淀宿まで送り届けることが済んだ段、馬添家来の者より注進」

1. On the same day, regarding Senior Councilor Okabe Sazen Okihira being granted retirement and release from duties upon his own request, the following message expressing His Lordship's sentiments was to be delivered in writing to Sazen's residence by the monthly duty Senior Councilor:
"You have served in official capacity for many years, faithfully performing your duties without negligence until reaching advanced age, which is most commendable and deeply appreciated. Since you show no signs of senility yet, we would prefer you to continue as before, but given your very advanced age, we believe that taking rest while still in good health would be beneficial for your well-being. Therefore, we grant you release from duties and retirement. Regarding succession, as understood, the 1,500 koku will be granted without change to your son Ukyo, so please rest at your leisure. Since you have been familiar to us from your days as a junior retainer, we privately grant you a stipend of ten persons' worth."
1. On July 4th, through court physician Mochizuki San'ei-ro, one hundred boxes of Korean ginseng seeds were graciously received privately. Rear official Hanihara Hachizo Kiyoshi went to San'ei-ro's residence to receive them.
1. On the same day, regarding the report that the Korean escort horses had been safely delivered to Yodo in Yamashiro Province, resident officer Tsuda Kuzaemon Moriyasu brought and submitted the following report to duty officer Lord Sakai Utanokamino-kami Tadahiro:
"Regarding the saddled horses that were ordered for Korean ginseng duties, they departed from Arai post station in Totomi Province on the 21st of last month, performed their duties on the road without incident, and completed delivery to Yodo post station in Yamashiro Province on the 28th of the same month, as reported by the horse attendant retainers."
