1. At lodging and rest stops, horses that dismount before reaching the three envoys' inn should be led ahead of the three envoys' lodging, held in reserve, and positioned as requested. After the three envoys' palanquins enter the inn, they should be led into their respective lodgings according to instructions from the officials of Sō Tsushima-no-kami. When positioning the horses, they should be placed so as not to interfere with the Korean envoys entering their lodgings. There should be no overtaking of horses that were led ahead by those following behind, and everything should be conducted with proper etiquette. Officials of Tsushima-no-kami will be present in front of the envoys' lodgings to give instructions, so follow their directions.
