One: Those who enter the shinban group and serve for forty years shall be admitted to the dai-goban group. Total of fifty years.
However, this applies regardless of whether it is the second or third generation from grandfather or the current person, according to the prescribed years of service.

However, this applies to second and third generations from grandfather as well as the current person, according to years of service. Particularly, those who have been granted jun-seki due to their positions shall continue as before. Or even for current persons, those with special circumstances and exceptional service may receive different treatment regardless of the prescribed years, at the discretion of evaluation at that time.
In all cases, even when the years of service are fulfilled, treatment shall depend on that person's performance and be subject to evaluation at that time.
