一 十一月二十日大和守様於御在所播州姫路御病御再発
之旨士来候ニ付為御見舞御側物頭波伯部五右衛門繁章幷
御ヒ【匕】医師半井仲■【庵】姫路表江可被遣之旨被 仰付
但 重而御左右申来候ニ付御任者相正
一 同日右同断ニ付姫路表ゟ為御使丹下源五兵衛 罷越
大和守明炬様去ㇽ十七日御養生無御叶御率去之段申上候
一 同日右同断ニ付江戸表江御徒飛脚関平八郎を以左之通り

右者同民大和守儀於播州姫路病気之処養生

故大和守方江養子罷越私儀も当家江養子罷越候
付半減之忌服受申候尤右忌服之儀林大学頭江も
承合候上右書付指出候様其表ニ指置候家来江

一 十一月二十日、大和守様が御在所播州姫路において御病気が再発した
旨の知らせが来たので、御見舞いのため御側物頭波伯部五右衛門繁章並びに
御匕医師半井仲庵を姫路表へ遣わすべき旨が仰せ付けられた。
ただし 重ねて御左右（病状の知らせ）が申し来たので御任者を相正した。
一 同日、右同断により姫路表より御使として丹下源五兵衛が罷り越し、
大和守明炬様が去る十七日に御養生叶わず御逝去の段を申し上げた。
一 同日、右同断により江戸表へ御徒飛脚関平八郎をもって左の通り
御忌服の御届書が指し出された。

右は同姓大和守儀が播州姫路において病気のところ養生
相叶わず去る十七日に死去いたし候。私の実兄に候得ども、大和守儀は
故大和守方へ養子として罷り越し、私儀も当家へ養子として罷り越し候
につき、半減の忌服を受け申し候。もっとも右忌服の儀は林大学頭へも
承り合い候上、右書付を指し出し候様、其表に指し置き候家来へ

One: On the 20th day of the 11th month, news came that Lord Yamato-no-kami's illness had relapsed at his residence in Himeji, Harima Province. Therefore, for condolence visits, it was ordered that retainer captain Hakubu Goemon Shigeaki and court physician Nakarai Chūan be dispatched to Himeji.
However, as further news of his condition arrived, the appointed person was changed.
One: On the same day, for the same reason, Tange Gengobei came as an envoy from Himeji and reported that Lord Yamato-no-kami Akiteru had passed away on the 17th, as his medical treatment was unsuccessful.
One: On the same day, for the same reason, the following notification of mourning period was submitted to Edo through foot messenger Seki Heihachirō:
Memorandum
Mourning: From the 17th of the 11th month to the 26th of the same month
Formal mourning: From the 17th of the 11th month to the 2nd of next New Year
The above concerns the same-surname Lord Yamato-no-kami who, while ill in Himeji, Harima Province, could not recover and died on the 17th. Although he was my real brother, as Lord Yamato-no-kami had been adopted into the former Yamato-no-kami family, and I myself was also adopted into this house, I observe a reduced mourning period. Of course, regarding this mourning period, after consulting with Hayashi Daigaku-no-kami, instructions were given to the retainers stationed there to submit the above document.
