現代語訳
盧生は粟飯を炊く間に一生の栄華の夢を見た【邯鄲の夢の故事】
お袖は夕飯のできる間に風俗の夢を見て、良いことに大人しき大通人となる。
金太夫の娘お袖は髪の薄きも当子の例現にても元のごとくになり、当世一の風俗なれば、まことに網の目より手を出すがごとく、嫁入りの口を言い来る。
先は五ヶ所の家持ち、金々でございます。
与吉、かかたより何の仔細もなく暇つかわせば、これに構いはございませぬとも、まず娘が胸の内をお聞かせ願おう。
英語訳
Lu Sheng saw a dream of lifelong glory and prosperity in the time it took to cook millet rice [referring to the story of the Handan Dream].
Osode saw a dream of fashion and style in the time it took to prepare dinner, and fortunately became a refined and well-mannered connoisseur of pleasure quarters.

The suitor is a property owner of five locations, very wealthy indeed.
