温めて板の上に置き、手早く爪でこすり、
灯心のような軽い物に近づけると、灯心がたちまち
紙に引き付けられる。これは紙の電気が人体の電気
に感応して陽の気となり、灯心の陰の電気に
合わさろうとするためである。すべて電気は陽と陰が
相合わさろうとする性質があるものなので、合えば静
まって現れないけれども、離れれば動いて合
わさろうとする。この理屈により陽の電気を起こした雲
