静なるみ池の水にすむ亀も

かはらすて亀を友とそ契りませ

安らかに君が経まさむ万代に
緑の亀も会えんとやする 能容（上）
静かなる御池の水に住む亀も
君に例えて万代や経む 光吉（上）
変わらずて亀を友とぞ契りませ
君が齢は八百万代も 富潤（上）
英語訳
Peacefully through the ten thousand generations you shall live,
The green turtle too shall meet with you - Nōyō (Jō)
The turtle dwelling in the tranquil waters of the imperial pond
Compared to you, shall also live ten thousand generations - Kōkichi (Jō)
Unchangingly, pledge the turtle as your friend,
For your lifespan extends through eight hundred myriad generations - Furun (Jō)
