大猷公が四月十三日に江戸を御出発、十六日に今市如来
寺を御旅館と定められる。翌十七日に如来寺に一日御逗留。これにより
御名代として彦根少将直孝が日光山に登り、御宮に参拝。翌十八日に
幕府が今市を御出発、二十一日に江戸に還御。
これは今年正月二十四日に大相国家が薨去されたため御忌服中であり、
御登山には及ばないものの、わざわざなされた事は御尊崇が厚いためである。

Lord Taitoku departed Edo on the 13th day of the 4th month, arrived at Nikkō on the 16th. On the 17th,
he made pilgrimage to the shrine, climbed Mount Chūzenji on the 18th, and returned to Edo on the 22nd.
○Kan'ei 5 (1628) - 13th anniversary memorial service
Lord Taitoku departed Edo on the 13th day of the 4th month, arrived at Nikkō on the 16th. On the 17th,
he made pilgrimage to the shrine and returned to Edo on the 21st.
○On the 22nd day of the same month in the same year
Lord Daiyū (who was Great Counselor at that time) departed Edo for pilgrimage to Nikkō, arrived at Nik-
kō on the 25th. On the 26th he made pilgrimage to the shrine, departed Nikkō on the 28th,
and returned to Edo on the 1st day of the 5th month.
○6th year of the same era
Lord Taitoku departed Edo on the 13th day of the 9th month and made pilgrimage to the shrine on the 17th.

This pilgrimage was due to a vow made regarding smallpox.
○9th year of the same era - 17th anniversary memorial service
Lord Daiyū departed Edo on the 13th day of the 4th month, and on the 16th, Imaichi Nyorai
Temple was designated as the official lodging. On the following 17th, he stayed one day at Nyorai Temple. Accordingly,
Hikone Lesser Captain Naotaka served as his representative, climbed Mount Nikkō, and worshipped at the shrine. On the following 18th,
the shogunate departed Imaichi and returned to Edo on the 21st.
This was because the Great Minister of State had passed away on the 24th day of the 1st month of this year, and though he was in mourning
and could not climb the mountain himself, the fact that this was specially arranged shows his deep reverence.
○11th year of the same era
Lord Daiyū made pilgrimage to Nikkō in the 4th month.
However, the dates of departure and return are not clear.
