Due to the shortage and heavy workload of the guard units, during intervals in his concurrent duties, he was ordered to serve his main guard duties while the lord was in residence in the domain.
1. In the 10th month of the same 2nd year (1819), year of the rabbit, due to changes in the military organization (go-furiai), he was relieved of his artillery officer duties, and it was proclaimed that he had served diligently up to that point.
1. In the 2nd month of the same 5th year (1822), year of the horse, when a meal was served to Elder Sugimoto Tadaharu at the castle, he served as attendant for the meal service and was granted sake in recognition of his labor.
