仰付候事
一同八亥年十月老年に罷成候に付御関
所番願之通被成御免跡役被 仰付候
迄は相勤候様被 仰付候事
一同九子年八月願之通御擬作被召
上年久敷律義に御奉公仕候に付一生弐
人扶持被下置之旨被 仰聞候
但七拾歳に罷成御奉公難相勤願之通
御役御免被遊難有奉存候処無役に而御
切米頂戴仕候義奉恐入候に付差上申
度尤弐男弥内如何体にも被 召出被下
置度旨願申上候処忰被 召出置候儀に候
へは二男被 召出候義は御取上難被成由に付
本文之通被 仰付候事

弐人扶持末子惣太夫江御振替被下置候事

仰せ付けられたこと
一、同八年亥年十月、老年になったため、御関所番を願いの通り御免になり、跡役を仰せ付けられるまでは相勤めるよう仰せ付けられたこと
一、同九年子年八月、願いの通り御擬作を召し上げられ、年久しく律義に御奉公したため、一生二人扶持を下し置かれる旨を仰せ聞かされたこと
但し七十歳になり御奉公が勤め難くなったため、願いの通り御役を御免になり有り難く存じているが、無役にて御切米を頂戴することは恐れ入るため差し上げたいと思う。もっとも二男の弥内をどのような形でも召し出していただきたい旨を願い申し上げたところ、息子が召し出し置かれている件があれば、二男を召し出すことは御取り上げ難いとのことで、本文の通り仰せ付けられたこと
一、同十五年丑年四月、隠居料として下し置かれていた二人扶持を末子の惣太夫へ御振替え下し置かれたこと
一、享保三年戌年九月十九日、九十三歳にて病死。法名は釈鉄翁、葬所は同上

1. Same 8th year (1695), year of the boar, 10th month, due to advanced age, was relieved of checkpoint guard duty as requested, and ordered to continue serving until a successor was appointed
1. Same 9th year (1696), year of the rat, 8th month, his nominal stipend was withdrawn as requested, and due to his long and faithful service, he was granted lifelong support for two retainers
However, having reached age 70 and finding it difficult to continue official service, he was relieved of duty as requested, for which he was grateful, but feeling it inappropriate to receive rice stipend without serving in any role, he wished to return it. He particularly requested that his second son Yanai be called into service in whatever capacity, but was told that since his eldest son had already been called to service, it would be difficult to also call his second son, so the arrangement remained as stated in the main text
1. Same 15th year (1702), year of the ox, 4th month, the support for two retainers that had been granted as retirement allowance was transferred to his youngest son Sōdayū
