私記ニ而 《割書：乗尻従手中二人撰定ル事ハ慶長三戊戌年ゟ｜初而相定自是以前ハ所司ノ為役差タル事也于時老若｜一統之以評議被定ト云々》
一競馬乗尻差事ハ元所司之役也近年ハ十手より
二人宛指て被出候其ヲ能々日記時日能々付て
所司之置候也
老若一統以評議被相定処也
一昔所司の乗尻指定覚職三人ノ内壱人差之
一雑掌ノ内壱人サス也何レモ度々旧例先例有之
一物書ハサヽサル也但願兼而有之カ望候ヘハサス也

私記によると《慶長三年戊戌年より乗尻を従手中から二人選定することが初めて定められた。これ以前は所司が役として差し向けていたことである。その時老若一統の評議によって定められたという》
一、競馬の乗尻を差し向けることは元々所司の役である。近年は十手より二人ずつ指名して出させている。そのことを詳しく日記に時日をよく付けて所司が置いている。
