左稲葉丹後守殿御馬也孟平小土手ニシテ撤倒故落馬
冠推而不被用故着立烏帽子也皆人非例哉ト嘲焉云々
【朱】愚按《割書：直一｜》有先例《割書：建保五年頼峯｜》神事自＿レ￣リ及＿二￣ハン遅滞＿一￣ニ臨時白丁烏帽子可然歟
宝永三年五月五日三番右内蔵頭清文落馬冠破損云々替り如何不知

【歩いて禄纏頭のこと】
左右共に落馬した。親久の馬主が腹を立てて馬を牽いて帰ったため、歩いて禄纏頭を受けることになった。これは前代未聞のことであるという。
【負けて頓宮へ参ったこと】
一 明暦三年五月五日東国寺
左 兵部権少輔清邑

右 図書助保竹
保竹は大きく負けたため、禄絹を押さえて掛けなかった。しかし負けていない間は禄を掛けるべきだという親類中が左右の階下へ訴えたが叶わなかった。それでも無理に頓宮へ参り、庁屋座に着座した。これは前代未聞の曲事であるという。
【冠破損のこと】

右 和泉守定久
左は稲葉丹後守殿の御馬である。孟平は小土手で撤倒したため落馬し、冠が壊れて使えなくなったため、立烏帽子を着けた。皆人は例に反するのではないかと嘲ったという。
【朱書】愚案《割書：直一｜》先例がある《割書：建保五年頼峯｜》神事が始まってから遅滞に臨んでは、臨時に白丁烏帽子でもよろしいのではないか。
宝永三年五月五日、三番右内蔵頭清文が落馬して冠破損したという。替わりをどうしたかは不明。

【Receiving salary reward on foot】
Both left and right riders fell from their horses. Chikahisa's horse owner became angry and led the horse away, so they had to receive their salary rewards on foot. This was said to be unprecedented.

Right: Zusho-no-suke Yasutake
Because Yasutake suffered a great defeat, he held down his reward silk and did not wear it. However, his relatives appealed to both left and right sides at the base of the stairs, saying that he should wear the reward while not losing, but this was not granted. Nevertheless, he forcibly proceeded to the temporary shrine and took his seat in the administrative building. This was said to be an unprecedented misconduct.
【Crown damage incident】

Left: Takumi-no-suke Takehira
First round
Right: Izumi-no-kami Sadahisa
The left rider used Lord Inaba Tango-no-kami's horse. Takehira fell at a small embankment and was thrown from his horse. Since his crown was damaged and unusable, he wore a tate-eboshi (standing court cap). Everyone mocked him, saying it was against precedent.
【Red annotation】My humble opinion: There is precedent (Kenpō 5th year, Yorimitsu). When divine services face delays after beginning, temporary use of a hakutei eboshi (white servant's cap) would be appropriate.
Hōei 3rd year (1706), May 5th: Third round right, Kurando-no-kami Kiyofumi fell and damaged his crown. It is unknown what replacement was used.
