英語訳

(The message) reached (Lord Gomi's deputy and Lord Nakabō's deputy), and the honorable pillars were raised. The order was: first the east pillar, then the west, then the north, then the south(west) pillar. When the west pillar was being raised, the shrine priests (*shashi*) came forth and took their positions in the garden between the *Shūgen-ya* (ritual hall) and the *tsubone* (inner chamber). The Head Priest Takahisa, the Senior Priest (*Shō-negi*) Yoshihisa, the Junior Priest (*Gon-negi*) Mitsuhisa, the Kataoka Priest (*Kataoka-hafuri*) Yorihisa, and Yoshihisa's younger brother Suke(Yū)hisa *(marginal note: at this time an ujibito)* — each were seated on rush mats *(marginal note: one each)*, wearing hunting robes (*kariginu*), with west as the seat of honor, facing north. The Senior Ritualist (*Shō-hafuri*) Jūshō *(marginal note: on bereavement leave)*, the Former Head Priest Ikuhisa *(marginal note: indisposed)*, the Kataoka Negi Seihei *(marginal note: ill)*, and the Kifune Negi Tokuhisa *(marginal note: ill)* — these four did not attend. The ujibito were seated in the *tsubone*'s connecting corridor (*tōrō*), the *naoraijo* (post-ritual banquet hall), the west passageway (*nishi-watariya*), and the *tsubone*, *(marginal note: each wearing hunting robes, informal robes, or plain white robes as they saw fit, in no particular order of rank)*, and seated according to seniority of age. Next, upon the completion of the pillar-raising, sacred sake was offered and presented. *(Marginal note: For details of the offerings, refer to the Sōchūki [General Records].)* Then the evening offerings were made *(marginal note: the Shūgen and the Shi [masters] same as before)*. After the ceremony of one round of the lower-ranking sake cup (*shita-kanbai*), all withdrew. 1. On the same day, the distribution of barrels: barrels *(marginal note: 10)*, kelp (*konbu*) *(marginal note: 10 bundles)*, sea bream (*tai*) *(marginal note: 10)*, dried squid (*surume*) *(marginal note: 10 strings)* were presented to the assembly of shrine personnel (*shatori-shūchū*), and the remainder was delivered to the carpenters' assembly (*daiku-shūchū*). Distribution to the carpenters: barrels *(marginal note: 3)*, sea bream *(marginal note: 3)*, kelp *(marginal note: 1 bundle)*, dried squid *(marginal note: 1 string)* Chief Carpenter (*Shō-daiku*) Same Same Same Same Assistant Carpenter (*Gon-daiku*) Barrels *(marginal note: 1)*, sea bream *(marginal note: 2)*, kelp *(marginal note: 1 bundle)* Chief Master Builder (*Shō-tōryō*) Same Same Same
