一、十二月八日、金右衛門殿・五味殿が見舞いのためにお越しになった。
（この以後、正月までの分は（記録者が）在京のため記さない。忠兵衛に尋ねるべし。）
一、同二十一日、今日まで諸職人が仕事をしていたが、先月（十一月）が迫っていたため、各々仕事をやめた。
○寛永五年（1628年）
一、正月十一日に初めて、大工・諸職人・木屋の入下代（いりげだい）の衆四人がお越しになり、各々祝儀があり、一献（酒席）が行われた。しかしながら、材木を選び木の色目を改めてみるに、適当な材木がないため、さしあたり諸職人以下（の者たち）は往事（以前からの仕事）を行わなかった。
一、同二十一日に、下奉行が従前のごとく各々四人がお越しになり、材木屋を召し寄せて「材木を早々に手配するように」との旨を申し渡された。
一、同二十三日に、惣中（そうじゅう）から沙汰人（さたにん）を通じて、神宝の件について社司に切に申し入れたが、「何やかやと申し談合（だんごう）をしない」との由を、五味殿へ美作守（みまさかのかみ）（が取り次いだ）。

Item: The eighth day of the twelfth month. Lord Kinemon and Lord Gomi came to pay a visit.

Item: The twenty-first day of the same month. The various craftsmen had been working up until this day, but as the previous month (eleventh month) had been pressing, each of them ceased their work.
○ Kan'ei 5 (1628)
Item: On the eleventh day of the first month, for the first time, the carpenters, various craftsmen, and four members of the timber merchant's staff (irige-dai) came up. There were formal congratulatory exchanges and a round of drinks was held. However, upon selecting the timber and examining the quality of the wood, it was found that there were no suitable materials available, and so for the time being, the craftsmen and those below them did not carry out their previous work.
Item: On the twenty-first day of the same month, the junior commissioners (shita-bugyō), as before, each came up with four men, and summoned the timber merchants, instructing them to arrange for the timber without delay.
Item: On the twenty-third day of the same month, through an intermediary (satanin) from the entire shrine community (sōchū), a pressing request was made to the shrine priests (shashi) regarding the sacred treasures (shinpō). However, Lord Gomi was informed by Lord Mimasaka that they would "not engage in any deliberation on the matter."
