【Records from the 24th to the 26th Day】 Item: The 24th day. Clear skies. Written documents were prepared, including inventories (mokuroku) for the time of the shrine relocation ceremony (sengū), which were submitted to Lord Gomi. Details are recorded in the Hinami-ki (daily record). These documents were brought to Lord Suō (Suō-dono) for his approval; however, he returned without giving his consent to any of it whatsoever. At this time, Mochiisa and Ikuhisa, on behalf of the entire shrine community (sōchū), delivered two copies of documents pertaining to ceremonial costume expenses (shōzoku-ryō) to the two individuals, Uemon-no-daifu and Nuino-suke. Item: The 25th day. Clear skies. Yesterday, Lord Suō had indicated that it would be appropriate to consult Lord Karasuma, and so a visit was made to Lord Karasuma. Item: On the same day, a visit was paid to Lord Suō-no-kami as a courtesy call (inspection round). Item: On the same day, the silver (funds) for the ridge-raising ceremony (jōtō) were delivered from the public authorities (the shogunate), and as for the ritual offering expenses (goku-ryō) and other such matters, workers from the local area (zaisho) were dispatched to collect them. Item: On the evening of the same day, a petition was submitted by the Mite-wakashū-chū (the organization of young shrine attendants of the three groups) regarding such matters as the order of procession for the following day's ridge-raising ceremony and where each party should be seated. Accordingly, this was announced at the assembly (yoriai), and Shume-no-suke and Uemon-no-daifu were immediately charged with consulting the shrine officials (shashi-shū) about the matter. However, since everything was so sudden, it was determined that it would be difficult to have everything properly arranged, and so the formalities of the procession were set aside for the time being. (The order of the procession of the Mite-wakashū is recorded in the Sōchū Hinami-ki.) Item: The 26th day. Clear skies. At the Hour of the Dragon (around 8:00 a.m.), the procedures for the ridge-raising ceremony are recorded on a separate sheet. Item: On the same day, sake barrels (taru) were sent to various locations. Details are recorded in the Hinami-ki. Item: On the same day, the total number of barrels for the ridge-raising ceremony was forty loads (ko). Of this allocation, ten loads were offered up to the entire shrine community (sōchū). Of the remaining distribution, thirty loads were given to the carpenters (daiku) and the storehouse administrators (nassho); of these, ten loads went to the deputy head carpenter (gon-daiku), five loads to [continues on the next page]...
