【Discussion on the Structure of the Rōmon Gate (continued from previous page)】
…[We] had been told that three bays (ken) passed through continuously, and [we] inquired what ought to be done about this. It was indeed the case that in the architectural drawings as well, [it was shown as] having a double roof in the space (this transcribed as written in the original). The shrine administrators (shashi) stated that this arrangement seemed appropriate. Furthermore, a Yamato carpenter stated: "I am not aware of a double roof being used for what is called a rōmon (two-storied gate). A double roof is what is called 'daimon-zukuri' (great gate construction) or alternatively 'sanmon-zukuri' (temple gate construction)." What, then, should be done?
【Records for the 3rd Day of the 4th Month】
Item: The 3rd day. Cloudy skies. Today for the first time, the sewing of the divine robes (o-fuku) commenced at the shrine administration office (shamu). However, for today it was decided that the curtains (maku) would be more appropriate, and so the curtains were sewn. The morning meal was provided as a reception by the shrine administration office (shamu), while the evening meal was prepared by the Deputy Administrator-daifu (mokudai-daifu). Food allocations (gegyō) were sent from the general assembly (sōchū) to the deputy administrators (mokudai). The number of persons [receiving allocations] were:

The poetry official (uta-no-yaku) · Nuinodo-no-suke · acting for Nariak: Gyōbu-no-taifu · Tomonao. Total: ten persons.
(Note: among the five-person group [gojin-shū], court robes [jōe] and plain robes [hōi] are mixed together.)
Regarding the five senior attendants of the divine robes (o-fuku-jōrō), one portion each assigned as follows:
One portion: Tanba-no-kami · Kiyota
One portion: Uma-no-suke · Kiyochika
One portion: Kamechiyodaifu · Hirohisa
One portion: Hyūga-no-kami · Sueyoshi
