Item: On the same day, the subordinate magistrate (shita-bugyō) Lord Enami Shichirōemon arranged for enclosures (kakoi) to be erected at the locations for the sacred vigil of the shrine administrators and clan members. Specifically, the shrine administrators were allocated the space of three ken (approx. 5.4m) from the western board wall of the administrative building (chōya), while the clan members were allocated a space of two ken (approx. 3.6m) from the third pillar of the same building, extending to the dividing boards (kiriiita). Both the shrine administrators and clan members were enclosed with reed (ashi) fencing, with bamboo applied as edging. Shimenawa (sacred straw ropes) were stretched on all four sides. Thirty tatami mats were provided by the authorities (kōgi); of these, fourteen were laid in the shrine administrators' area, and the remaining sixteen in the clan members' area. The kitchen, cooking stoves (kamado), and all associated facilities were fully prepared on this day.

Item: On the night of the 3rd day, the shrine administrators (shashi-shū) held a sacred vigil (sanrō) at the residence of the head shrine priest (kannushi), accompanied by a celebratory gathering (shūgi). After the ceremonial serving of soup (suimono) in three rounds — a form of ritual meal presentation called hōzō — each person visited the shrine and immediately entered into their sacred vigil.
