英語訳
(Continued from the previous page) By the time everyone had dispersed, it was already the upper part of the Hour of the Dragon (approximately 8 a.m.) of the following day.
Item: On the same day, after the enshrinement ceremony (sengū) at the subsidiary shrine (gonsha) was completed, a provisional enshrinement ceremony (kari-sengū) was held at Tanao Shrine, and Mochiiku [red vertical mark] performed the transfer of the deity.
Item: On the tenth day, the weather was clear. Lord Gomi [red vertical mark] paid a visit to the shrine (gosha-san) early in the morning. As the proceedings of the enshrinement, which had begun the previous evening, had not yet concluded, he visited again at the time of the goryo-san (sacred offerings/visitation) in the evening of that day.
Item: On the same day, sacred barrels (o-taru) of sake were presented to various persons in accordance with the register (mokuroku) compiled on the previous day [note: "gin" (silver) struck through and replaced with "roku" (record) in red], and additionally, a sacred barrel and a scrolled sutra (kanju) were presented to Lord Suō [red vertical mark].
Item: On the eleventh day, the weather was clear. As a courtesy gift of toso (spiced New Year's sake) and byakusan (white medicinal powder) to Tsūsen'in [red vertical mark], one load of barrels, noshi (dried abalone strips, as a ceremonial gift decoration), and the main kanju (scrolled text) were sent, with Kuranosuke and Gennōtō [red vertical mark] dispatched as messengers.
[Red marginal note: Item, on the same day, the Shūken diary states: "The fee for the sashimuki (court trousers), along with silver coins, was duly paid over," and so forth.]
Item: On the same day, a general construction project (sō-fushin) was undertaken at the shrine precinct. The terrain at the elevated areas near the Wakamiya Shrine was leveled and graded, and earthwork was carried out beneath the goryo-ya (shrine priest's official residence), the watariya (covered walkway), and similar structures belonging to the hafuri (shrine priests).
Item: On the fourteenth day, the weather was overcast on both counts [i.e., morning and evening, or cloudy]. On this day, the o-tsubone (inner chamber) was dismantled (kobosu) [the reading "chi" is noted as uncertain in red]. Workers were supplied from the Kamo general community (sōnaka).
Item: On the fifteenth day, the weather was clear. On this day, as part of the general construction project, the section of the o-tsubone that had been worked on was demolished.
[Red marginal note: Today, the o-uidokoro (birthing chamber) was enclosed; see the Shūken diary.]
Item: On the same day, a council (hyōjō) was held to deliberate on the presentation of hollyhock leaves (aoi) for the festival to appropriate parties. The various administrative officers (zasshō) came forward, and [it was decided to present] first to Her Majesty the Empress (Chūgū-sama) [red vertical mark], the Imperial Lady's Palace (Nyōin-gosho-sama) [red vertical mark], Lord Karasuma [red vertical mark]...
