英語訳

Item: On the same day, the azukari-beya (custodial/storage room) was demolished. Item: The events of the twentieth day are recorded in detail in the day-by-day record (hinami-ki). Item: On the twenty-first day, the weather was clear. In accordance with the documents drawn up the previous day, two persons—the Shume-no-suke (Master of the Left Stables) and the Uemon-no-taifu (Senior Official of the Right Gate Guards)—held a consultation with Mochiiku. Item: On the same day, Lord Gomi [red vertical mark] made a formal visit (o-nobori). The shrine priests (shashi) and clan members (ujibito) attended. Petitions were submitted regarding the double-layered roof of the rōmon (two-storied gate) and various other matters. [Red marginal note: Concerning the use of the tōrō (corridor) sliding door as a place for Shinto ritual practice.] Item: On the twenty-second day, the weather was clear. The sliding door (karado) of the tōrō (open-latticed corridor) was dismantled and brought into the timber storehouse (koya). However, this was because, at the night gathering (yoriai) on the nineteenth day, a petition had been submitted requesting that this space be used as a practice hall (keiko-sho) for Shinto ritual activities by the young members (wakashū) and elders (rōshū) [deletion mark: 老] of the western, eastern, and middle groups (te), and so the space was allocated for the middle, elder, and younger members of all three groups. Item: On the night of the same day, a discussion was held with the shrine priests at the gathering (yoriai), based on the written documents. Three persons—the Nuido-no-suke (Official of the Weaving Office), the Ukon-no-shōgen (Lieutenant of the Right Bodyguard), and the Governor of Shinano—were dispatched as envoys. The matters discussed were as follows: Item: That the roofs of both the eastern and western sides of the o-shoya (御所屋, the main building) be extended in length. Item: Concerning the written inventory of the sacred treasures (shinpō). Item: That the architectural drawings (ezu) of the rōmon be shown to Gon'emon and also to the sub-carpenters. Item: Concerning the eastern (transcribed as in the original) karana (Chinese-style name or formal designation) entrance gate (irimon). Item: Concerning departure from the capital (Kyoto) on the same day.
