英語訳

(Continued from previous page) Among the ujibito were Ujiaki, Ujigen, Takahisa, and Ujigo, along with several dozen others. 1. The 20th day. Clear skies, rain in the evening. In accordance with the deliberations of the previous night, everyone attended, and there were consultations with the shrine officials (shashi). Details are recorded in the Hinami-ki (daily record). 2. The 21st day. To Lord Nakabō Chōbei, who had come up [to the shrine] the day before yesterday, the sōchū (the entire community) sent messengers — Samanosuke and Uemon-no-taiyū — to present scrolls (kansu) and a barrel of sake in congratulation of his appointment as magistrate (bugyō). One load of a barrel of refined sake (morohaku) (capacity: eight shō), twenty sheets of noshi (formal gift paper), and the kansu scrolls. Of the above, the barrel was returned (sent back). This was in accordance with regulations (hatto). 3. On the same day, the four persons — Yukihisa, Takahisa, Suesada, and Kiyomi — attended at the Main Shrine (honsha), and it was agreed that it would be most appropriate to first settle the date [for the shrine-moving ceremony] in a preliminary, informal manner. 4. On the same day, the ridgepole-raising ceremony (munage) was held for the Imikoya (ritual purification house) at Takakura. 5. The 22nd day. Cloudy and clear, then rain again in the afternoon. 6. The 23rd day. From the onmyōji (yin-yang diviner) Sōshō, the auspicious date for the moving/dragging of the Main Shrine (honsha) was divined and submitted. 7. The 24th day. From Sōshō, the auspicious dates for the ground-purification ritual (jisai), the purification ceremony (kiyoharae), and the carpenters' pillar-raising and ridgepole-raising ceremonies were submitted. 《Interlinear note: The original document containing the auspicious dates is held by the sōchū.》 8. The 25th day. Three persons — Yukihisa, Shūken, and Genkyu — visited Lord Gomi, and upon presenting the auspicious dates, it was settled that all matters should proceed in the same manner as at the time of the provisional shrine (karino-yashiro). 9. On the same day, the Nihyakuza-harae (Two-Hundred-Seat Purification Ceremony) was offered to both Lord Kin'emon and Lord Chōbei. On that day—— [text continues on next page]
