一筆申し上げます。昨年、少将様から鰹節八十本を拝領するようお言いつけいただき、謹んでお受けいたしました。誠に有り難い仕合わせと存じております。
右の御礼を申し上げたく、貴公様方まで愚札を呈上いたします。
誠に恐縮至極、謹んで申し上げます。

I humbly write to you. Last year, His Lordship the Shōshō graciously bestowed upon me eighty pieces of katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes). I received them with deep gratitude, considering it truly a most fortunate blessing.
I wish to express my gratitude for this favor and humbly present this modest letter to your honorable persons.
With utmost reverence and humility, I respectfully state.
