あかを落し竹槍抔ヲ手に持て俗人善い者共は
勿論祢宜山伏に至まで勢ひこんて力みしが
すわ騒動来りしと聞や否始の詞に引替て
何国へか迯隠れ壱人も防んとする者勿りけり原
村井斡や九郎右衛門の所には兼て炊出せんと白
米十五六表口ヲ切大釜にて飯を炊寄来人
に丁寧に振舞入用成ものは何成共指出可申
よし申ければ大持共覚布り人井斡やの諸道
具一切手指無用と下知しける外四軒の穀やへ
乱れこみ手々に鈇（マサカリ）かけやを持柱々を伐倒し
荢綱をかけて引たをしひしやり〳〵と打tうぶし
気多茶繰練よりこまで當かをよしと切り
さばき繭もけた条も切まぜて上を下へと
かきまわし目もあてられぬ次第也にしきで

現代語訳
錆を落とし竹槍などを手に持って、俗人や善良な者たちは
もちろん、神主や山伏に至るまで勢いに乗って力んでいたが、
いざ騒動が来たと聞くや否や、最初の言葉とは打って変わって
どこの国へか逃げ隠れ、一人も防ごうとする者はいなかった。原
村の井桁屋九郎右衛門の所では、かねてから炊き出しをしようと白
米十五、六俵の口を切り、大釜で飯を炊き、やって来る人に
丁寧にもてなし、入用なものは何でも差し出しましょう
ということを申したので、大勢の者たちは感心して、井桁屋の諸道
具一切には手を出すなと命令した。他の四軒の穀物屋へは
乱れ込み、手々に斧や掛矢を持ち、柱々を切り倒し、
荒縄をかけて引き倒し、ひしゃりひしゃりと打ち潰し、
気多から茶繰練まで当たるものを良しとして切り
裁き、繭も桁も切り混ぜて上を下へと
かき回し、目も当てられない有様である。錦で
南京や唐津焼の銘々その家々の皿や摺鉢、
箱などを明け、そのそばでひしりひしりと打ち潰し

They removed rust and held bamboo spears in their hands. Not only commoners and good people,
but even Shinto priests and mountain ascetics were full of vigor and enthusiasm.
However, as soon as they heard that the riot had actually come, contrary to their initial words,
they fled and hid somewhere, and not a single person remained to defend the place. At
Igeta-ya Kurōemon's place in Hara village, they had previously prepared to provide meals, cutting open fifteen or sixteen bags of white
rice and cooking rice in large cauldrons, treating visitors
courteously and saying they would provide whatever was needed.
The large group was impressed by this, and ordered that none of Igeta-ya's various tools
and equipment should be touched. They stormed into the other four grain shops,
each carrying axes and sledgehammers, cutting down pillars,
putting rough ropes around them to pull them down, crushing them with loud crashes.
From Kita to tea-processing equipment, they considered anything they encountered fair game to cut and
destroy, mixing cut cocoons and crossbeams, turning everything upside down
and stirring it about—a scene too terrible to behold. Brocade,
Nanking and Karatsu ceramics, each family's dishes and mortars,
boxes and such were opened, and beside them everything was crushed with crashing sounds.
