度々御教誡在之義ニ候へ者前非を悔
訖度相慎儀も候処不相改少年之者共
方江罷越或者於途中理不尽之義申
掛彼是令難渋少年之者稽古場往来
之障ニも相成不慎之所行共有之由相聞
御教地を妨候段重々不届之至ニ候依
之嫡子被退揚座敷江被入置之旨被
仰出候事

揚座敷江被入置候義御免被成候事

現代語訳
度々ご教戒があったにもかかわらず、前非を悔い改め慎むべきところ、改心せずに少年たちのところへ出向き、あるいは途中で理不尽なことを申し掛け、あれこれと難渋させ、少年たちの稽古場への往来の障害となる不慎重な行いがあったと聞いている。ご教化を妨げた段は重々不届きの至りであるため、嫡子を座敷牢に入れ置くよう仰せ出された。
一 寛政九年巳年四月、学問・手跡に精を出したため、座敷牢に入れ置かれていた件をお許しになった。

Despite receiving repeated admonishments, instead of repenting his past wrongs and exercising prudence, he failed to reform and went to where young men gathered, or made unreasonable demands on them along the way, causing them various troubles and obstructing the young men's coming and going to their training grounds - such imprudent behavior was reported. Since hindering the lord's moral guidance was extremely improper, it was ordered that the heir be confined to house arrest.
