一　四月二十九日　江戸を出発し、東海道を通って旅行した

一　五月（日付不詳）　端午の祝儀のため、使者を通じて例の通り御帷子・御単・御袷を献上した。追って御内書が城で御渡しされ、家来の拝領物等は例の通りであった

一　同月十二日　城に到着し、直ちに御座所へ入られた。昌親様と対面し、御長蚫が出た後、本丸へ入られた

一　同月十三日　右の件について御礼のため、使者杉田壱岐三竹を江戸表へ派遣することとし、今日福井を出立した

一　同月十八日　先達って福井城廻りの堀浚い並びに土居普請の件について御伺いを立てていたところ、今日老中稲葉美濃守正則殿から御奉書をもって御指図があった

越前国福井城総曲輪の堀二ヶ所を埋めるにあたって浚い、土居の破損を繕い裏土を仕りたい旨、絵図の通り得心いたしました。言上に及びましたところ、元の如く連々普請を申し付けるべき旨を仰せ出されました。その趣きをご存知おきください。恐々謹言

- April 29th: Departed from Edo and traveled via the Tokaido route.

- May (date unspecified): For the celebration of Boys' Day (Tango no Sekku), presented katabira (summer kimono), hitoe (unlined garment), and awase (lined garment) as usual through a messenger. Later, a personal letter from the shogun was delivered at the castle, and retainers' granted items were as usual.

- May 12th: Arrived at the castle and immediately entered the residential quarters. Had an audience with Masachika-sama, and after the sea ear (abalone) was presented, entered the main keep.

- May 13th: Regarding the above matter, for the purpose of expressing gratitude, messenger Sugita Iki Mitake was dispatched to Edo, departing from Fukui today.

- May 18th: Regarding the matter of dredging the moats around Fukui Castle and repairing the earthworks that had been previously inquired about, today received instructions via official letter from Senior Councilor Inaba Mino-no-kami Masanori.

Regarding the matter of filling two locations of the moats of the outer bailey of Fukui Castle in Echizen Province, we understand as shown in the drawings that you wish to dredge them and repair the damaged earthworks with backing soil. When this was reported, it was ordered that construction work should be carried out continuously as before. Please be aware of this matter. With great respect and humble words.
