現代語訳
右の通り仰せ出されたといえども、この節においてはいよいよ堅く守ること
一、祝言の取り扱いについては先年仰せ出された通り堅く守ること
一、江戸お供の際の衣類の件については、先年仰せ出された通り、絹・紬・木綿裏付きの袴でも構わない。とりわけお番勤めを申す節は粗末な木綿の上下を着用すること。ただし持参した衣装は何でも、常紋に限らず有り合わせのものを着用してよいこと
付け加えて下々の衣類についても右に応じてなるべく軽く仕るよう申し付けること
右の条々については前々より仰せ出された趣旨により、いよいよ倹約を用いるべき旨につき、今後なお一層諸事を簡略にすること。もし違背することがあれば、度々お聞きに達し、不宜しくお思し召されることになるので、油断なく堅く守るべきである。

1. Regarding the handling of wedding celebrations, strictly observe what was proclaimed in previous years.
1. Regarding clothing for accompanying [the lord] to Edo, as proclaimed in previous years, silk, pongee, or hakama with cotton lining are acceptable. Especially when performing guard duty, wear plain cotton kamishimo. However, any clothing brought from home may be worn, not limited to regular crests but whatever is available.
Additionally, instruct that clothing for lower-ranking personnel should also be made correspondingly lighter in accordance with the above.
Regarding the above articles, according to the intent proclaimed from long ago, frugality shall be increasingly employed. Hereafter, simplify all matters even more. If there are any violations, they will repeatedly reach [the lord's] ears and will be regarded unfavorably, so observe these strictly without negligence.
