一、十一月十二日、当夏の御暇の節に御拝領になった御鷹が、昌親様が御拝領になった御鷹と一緒に福井に到着した。これに付き、赤坂まで長崎平右衛門が派遣された。御鷹が御城に到着した際、瓦御門橋の外まで西尾伝兵衛（正虎）、海福勘介（本好）が出迎えた。御玄関白洲において、御奏者番、御小姓頭、町奉行、御奉行、横目が、御玄関において本多孫太郎（長員）をはじめとする御家老が出席し、鉄砲之間において昌親様の御同座のもとで御鷹の御頂戴が行われた。
一、同月二十六日、御預かりとなっていた越後守（光長）様の家来である中根長左衛門について、江戸屋敷から国許への引き取りに付き、御先物頭の飯川彦兵衛（正俊）が組の十人を連れ、大御番の小川藤右衛門（定時）、水野源七（定友）、その他御徒目付一人、御徒二人を付き添わせ、長左衛門を護送して今日福井に到着した。これにより平塚三五右衛門の上屋敷に収容し、横目の平岡左五右衛門、川越宇右衛門、丹羽八左衛門、八田金右衛門（知秋）、秋田六郎右衛門（勝憲）がその屋敷に赴き、公儀から仰せ出されたこと並びに御意の趣旨を長左衛門に申し聞かせた。

1. On the 12th day of the 11th month, the hawks bestowed upon us during the summer leave arrived in Fukui together with the hawks bestowed upon Lord Masachika. In connection with this, Nagasaki Heiemon was dispatched as far as Akasaka. When the hawks arrived at the castle, Nishio Denbei (Masatora) and Kaifu Kanosuke (Motoyoshi) came out to meet them as far as the outer side of Kawara Gate Bridge. At the entrance hall's white sand court (shirasu), in the presence of the presenter of petitions (sōshaban), pages' chief, town magistrate, magistrate, and inspector (yokome), and with the chief retainers including Honda Magotarō (Nagakazu) at the entrance hall, the ceremony of receiving the hawks was conducted in the gun room (teppō-no-ma) in the presence of Lord Masachika.
1. On the 26th day of the same month, regarding Nakane Chōzaemon, a retainer of Lord Echizen-no-kami (Mitsunaga) who had been placed under our custody, arrangements were made for his transfer from the Edo mansion to the home domain. Senior ashigaru commander Iikawa Hikobei (Masatoshi) leading ten men from his unit, along with ōban guards Ogawa Tōemon (Sadatoki) and Mizuno Genshichi (Sadatomo), plus one ashigaru inspector and two ashigaru as escorts, provided security for Chōzaemon and arrived in Fukui today. Accordingly, he was housed at Hiratsuka Sangōemon's upper residence, and inspectors Hiraoka Sagōemon, Kawagoe Uemon, Niwa Hachizaemon, Hatta Kinemon (Tomoaki), and Akita Rokurōemon (Katsunori) went to that residence to inform Chōzaemon of the shogunate's orders and his lordship's intentions.
