値段が高くても更に支障がないことと見受けられ、何の品物でも値段に関わらず上方へ上がっていくことから、江戸表では諸品物がなく、諸商人は大変困窮している。呉服太物類は更に品物がない。その上、御大名衆の奥方が江戸表へ追々お帰りになることから、呉服類をお買い上げになっても品物がなく、大丸や越後屋などでも大変困窮しているとのこと。

笠間辺りから下館、真岡辺りへ白木綿の買い入れに差し遣わしたところ、この節は全くなく、両二反位の相場で品物がない。ようやく六反買い入れて帰った。実に珍しいことである。この節、上州辺りへ糸にして遣わすとのことで、一貫五百文に売れるとのこと。皆木綿縮になるとのことで、白木綿に織って遣わすよりも糸にして売る方がよろしいとのこと。下館、結城辺りでは玄米五斗四、五升。
水戸御領中では綿並びに木綿糸類の他所遣わしをお差し留めになったとのこと。綿は一両に一貫五百目位、他所では一貫三百五十目位とのこと。
