袴地織元更ニ無之足利市ニ而持出無之呉
服類も右ニ順大高直ニ御座候生糸ニ而上
州地廻り三十六七匁ニ相成申候夏物ハ一
際此上高直ニ相成可申奉存候宜御勘 孝（マゝ）可

井戸払之せわき斗いとし居候岩善なとにて
ハ醤油仕込ニハ此節祇園寺下タ御茶之水ゟ
毎日汲ニ遣候而一同ニハ壱〆文余ツゝ入費
相かゝり候よし下町新町辺にてハ細谷ゟ中
川の水を汲候而遣候よしにて毎日細谷番所
前ハ大賑やかのよし追々苗代ニ取かゝり候
も山ニ出水かれ候而此節ハ取かゝり不申候

高機上下町織屋両三日以前まてハ壱反三十

袴地織元は全くなく、足利市でも持ち出しがなく、呉服類も右に順じて大変高値になっております。生糸では上州地回りで三十六、七匁になっております。夏物は一層この上高値になると存じます。よろしくご勘考くださいませ。
当春から雨が全く降らないため、所々で水が全くなく、毎日井戸払いの世話ばかりいたしております。岩善などでは醤油仕込みには、この節は祇園寺下の御茶の水から毎日汲みに遣わし、一同には一貫文余りずつ費用がかかっているとのことです。下町新町辺りでは細谷から中川の水を汲んで遣わしているとのことで、毎日細谷番所前は大変賑やかだということです。追々苗代に取りかかろうとしても、山に出水が枯れているため、この節は取りかかっておりません。
この節、笠間近辺の生白木綿一反二分位いたしており、古今まれに見る高値になっております。
高機上下町の織屋では、両三日以前までは一反三十七、八分位の引き上げでしたが、昨日などから四十三、四匁と急に引き上げております。それというのも綿が高値で取引されているためです。

Although they want to gradually start preparing rice seedbeds, since the mountain springs have dried up, they are not starting work at this time.
At this time, raw white cotton cloth around Kasama costs about 2 bu per tan, which is an extraordinarily high price rarely seen in history.
For the high-loom weavers in the upper and lower towns, until two or three days ago the markup was about 37-38 bu per tan, but from yesterday it suddenly rose to 43-44 monme. This is because cotton is trading at high prices.
